The Manager, Paid Search is responsible for the strategic development and creation of Belk’s Paid Search program. They will rapidly and successfully bring the program in house and build out the campaigns and team to drive incremental revenue while achieving Return on Ad Spend goals.

  • Lead SEM management and optimization for and The
  • Analyze and leverage data to make informed decisions to drive increase in sales while reducing costs
  • Build automated processes around bid, ad copy, and landing page optimization
  • Action findings from cross-device customer behavior to improve campaign performance
  • Partner with SEO to identify highly ranked Organic keywords that can be pulled back in Paid Search to conserve and reallocate funds
  • Ownership of Paid Search campaign structure, tactical direction, optimization, spend, and return on ad spend
  • Ideate, Develop, and Report on test results/ideas within the marketing and product teams
  • Plan and forecast weekly spend for business unit and finance. Estimate monthly budget to hit ROAS targets
  • Monitor Search Campaigns and report and take action on Violations
  • Research and communicate trends in the competitive landscape
  • Work across teams to optimize the user experience
  • Lead and deliver weekly reporting recaps with an eye toward consistent improvement and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Manage and develop direct reports
Education / Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant experience
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in building out and continuously optimizing a Paid Search program and budget for a large scale retailer
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Google Adwords Search Advertising Certification
  • Google Analytics Certification
  • Bing Ads Accredited Professional
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Marketing or Business Degree
Knowledge / Skills Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of general web technologies, HTML
  • Solid organization, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen understanding of Internet-based consumer behavior and direct marketing principles
  • Ability to offer creative marketing solutions in response to data analysis
