LGS is seeking talented, creative and highly motivated
undergraduate (juniors & seniors) and/or graduate
students for Co-op assignments to work at our research
and technology Labs in Florham Park, New Jersey. We are
seeking the ‘best and brightest’ with a passion to solve
tough challenges through innovation and the application
of science and technology.
The Wireless Sensing and Communications Department
performs applied research and prototype development in
various aspects of wireless communications signal and
protocol processing, channel modeling & waveform design
and implementation from HF to W band and beyond. The
successful candidate will work on advanced
communications and sensing systems - theory, system
design, algorithm design and simulation and
implementation in ASICs, FPGAs, chip level digital and
RF circuit design and object oriented SW.

Duties and Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Work includes wireless communications signal and
protocol processing, channel modeling & waveform design
and implementation from HF to W band and beyond
  • Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as
necessary
  • Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and
Compliance policies
  • Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere
to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the
level to perform the job

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Math / Signal Processing / Linear Algebra / Digital
Signal Processing
  • Mathematics analysis tools such as MATLAB
  • Protocols Synthesis and Analysis
  • Digital IC or RFIC Circuit Designs & CAD Tools
  • Hardware Design – boards, multichip packages, VHDL,
RTL, devices
  • HOL Frameworks & Programming in HOL such as C / C++
  • Source Code Control
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other
software applications as required

Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in an office and lab
environment which requires proper safety precautions.
Work may require some physical effort in the handling of
light materials, boxes, or equipment.

Job Requirements:Minimum Education and Experience:
Upper Class leading to BS, or graduate studies leading
to MS or PhD, in Electrical Engineering
