Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials. This is a vital role in our organization as you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility.
Duties:
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse or production area
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products
- Perform order picking using a forklift or other equipment
- Use a pallet jack to transport pallets of goods
- Pack and package products for shipment
- Assist with inventory management by conducting stock counts and reporting discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Skills:
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices
- Proficient in order picking and packing procedures
- Ability to operate other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks
- Capable of heavy lifting and moving materials as required
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
