Job Summary

Responsible for implementing a global SEC Reporting process across legacy Walgreens and Alliance Boots businesses. Manage data gathering, review and consolidation process for majority of US GAAP disclosures in WBA 10Q/K filings. Responsible for ensuring that the reporting adhere to US GAAP and company policies. Assist implementation of system based solution for global SEC reporting integrating all businesses and geographical regions into one single process.

Job Responsibilities
Creates and manages the global process of data gathering, review and consolidation of financial information for disclosures in quarterly and yearly filings.
Supports single consolidation system project and lead implementation of SEC reporting into COGNOS ensuring one global consistent SEC reporting process.
Transition SEC reporting work from UK technical accounting team to the SEC reporting team.
Owns the majority of US GAAP disclosures in 10Q/K including information review and consolidation.
Assists in preparation and review of materials for Disclosure & Audit Committee.
Manages global data gathering, review and analysis process for Non GAAP measures (Critical process from earning release perspective)
Assists with a Global Quarterly Financials review process for Chief Accounting Officer sign off
Manages and develops a team of two accountants
Ensures world class to create and store supporting documentation and facilitate review of the internal and external audit teams.
Mentors, coaches, and develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation.

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of experience in an analytical role in accounting, finance, business management or auditing or High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in an analytical role in accounting, finance, business management or auditing.
Experience with applicable accounting regulations.
Experience with SEC reporting including 10-K and 10-Q filing requirements, writing footnotes, and drafting Management’s Discussion & Analysis within the 10-K and 10-Q.
Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
At least 2 year of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Willing to travel up to 15 % of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). May include international travel.

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 7 years of experience in an analytical role in accounting, finance, business management or auditing or High School Diploma/GED and at least 10 years of experience in an analytical role in accounting, finance, business management or auditing.
Master’s degree in Accountancy or MBA.
CPA designation.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).
