Manager Sales Business Development – Next Billion Users

What You’ll Do

Want to work on emerging technology solutions & business models with world’s leading brands of Public & Social cloud players (Google, Amazon, Facebook etc.) in a highly strategic & visible role, influencing not only the direction of Cisco Web team but broader Cisco?

Cisco Global Web Business Development Team is building a team of Senior Sales Business Development Managers (SBDM) responsible for identifying new market, technology & customer trends & building/running strategic web wide campaigns with Cloud providers across Discover > Define > Develop >Deliver phases, to deliver Sell TO revenue & Sell WITH relevance/revenue within 12 months.

This role will be primarily focused on co-creating Cisco’s end to end solution for ‘Connecting Next Billion Users’ with Cloud providers. This role will report to Head of Cisco’s Global Web Market Development team.

Role Requirements:
  • End to End product ideation to execution expertise & discipline. Along with Design thinking & lean startup methodologies to drive business across 4 stages of development Discover to Deliver.
  • DISCOVER: Constantly scanning markets, customers, customer’s customers & technology evolutions & discovering what these evolutions mean for web customers, for the end customers (consumers, Enterprises, SMB etc.) & Cisco.
  • DEFINE: Converting Concepts into well-defined solutions via design thinking methodologies, customer testing, prototyping & pivoting via Customer feedback.
  • DEVELOP: Work with a cross functional team of Cisco & Web customer/partners Tech architects, Developers, Product Business Units, Sales/Channel teams, Customer Experience Teams & Program managers to ensure correct & timely development of the solution.
  • DELIVER: Lead a cross functional team to deliver the technology, business & GTM solution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Next Billion Users & Country transformation market & strategies. (Must Requirement)
  • Extensive expertise in the demand, supply, business models & customer experience of building solutions to connect next billion users in emerging markets & in rural areas. (Must Requirement)
  • Demonstrated ability to “own” engagements around large complex initiatives leading cross functional teams & converting a concept to revenue within 12 months
  • Good technology understanding with world class ability to convert trends into business relevance, usecases & value prop
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive customer relationships with key customer product & business development teams
  • Demonstrated ability to develop co-create new solutions and business models with SPs & Cloud service providers (preferred)
  • Engineering, with MBA (preferred)
