Administrative Assistant II – Henson School Dean’s Office

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II – Henson School Dean’s Office.
Primary Job Duties: Provide bookkeeping and complex administrative support to the Office of the Dean for the Henson School of Science and Technology. Work requires application of policies and procedures, ability to maintain confidentiality, and the use of discretion and tact.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ experience providing administrative support. Proficient in MicroSoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: General knowledge of bookkeeping practices and software used in accounting or budget work. Skill in performing mathematical computations and creating MS Excel formulas. Ability to examine and ensure accuracy of budgetary transactions. General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $35,728 annually, which is approximately $17.13 per hour.
