The Engineering Manager is responsible for driving multiple agile software teams. They will lead the engineering teams and work with product managers. They understand the business that their code supports and use this knowledge to influence their task prioritization. Daily, this person will be expected to help guide engineers in a hands on environment to support best practices and a single view of the systems.

Reporting to our Head of Engineering, you will maintain daily operations of the engineering group spanning everything from our SalesForce customer facing platform to our Oracle accounting system. Additionally, you will have end-to-end responsibility for project teams executing increasingly complex projects that encompass more than just development. You will identify regression risks in code and features, and communicate these to the appropriate parties.

You will lead the common code bases and standards for the team, will participate in code reviews, and mentor others via code reviews and pairing. You will be expected to be the technical team voice on complex projects, pushing for code excellence and launches with little to no interruption of business and process.

What you'll do...
Build API and service oriented applications to support the e-commerce site
Integrating with 3rd party APIs used for multiple aspects of the business
Building and scaling the architecture of the existing applications to handle exponential growth and ever increasing performance
Be the primary voice in technical decisions on future roadmap initiatives and work with other organizations in the company
Mentor other engineers in various stages of their career
Establish working processes and cadence with operations management to facilitate the coordination and execution of project work, such that the operational impact is minimized
Work closely with Quality Assurance Organization to ensure the code is fully tested before going to production
Control deployments to different environments
Debug in different environments to find issues and be able to fix them
Maintain and upgrade the current systems to keep them healthy and up to date
Lead a team of engineers to work collaboratively in house and remote, to achieve team initiatives
8+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or Technology Lead
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduate degree is a plus
2+ years professional management experience, both functional and personnel management
Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
Have extensive experience with various coding languages (primarily JavaScript and Ruby)
Have experience with relational databases, background job processing, and integrating with 3rd party API's
Have global experience and the willingness and ability to work in a diverse and virtual environment
Have great ability to manage your time, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of your work
Have experience working with Agile methodology or SCRUM

Preferred Requirements:
Experience with SalesForce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)
Experience integrating with multiple service providers
Experience and operating understanding of Azure
Experience with JAVA and CSS
