Position Overview:
This Global Diversity and Inclusion Office (GDIO) position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the global diversity and inclusion (D & I) strategy; execution of related tactics; advising the employee resource groups (ERGs); maintaining and continuously improving D & I training resources, and providing metrics and data analytics for inform progress and opportunities for improvement.

The incumbent will report directly the Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion

Program Management and Facilitation

Responsible for the program management and planning of the Multicultural Festival, Global Diversity and Inclusion Summit, signature events and other key diversity engagements.
Support the facilitation of core diversity and inclusion training to include Conscious Inclusion, Inclusive Leadership and Make it Safe to Thrive.
Design and develop core programs that enhance and enable cultural literacy training opportunities.
Design content and toolkits for the Global D&I homepage.
Demonstrate understanding of D & I concepts and cultural competency
Provide vendor management for external speakers and experts

Employee Resource Group Advisor

Advise employee resource groups (ERGs) by counseling ERG executive teams concerning strategy, compliance, ERG governance, engagement with executive sponsors, and by providing strategic oversight of events.
Provides guidance to influence ERG goals and activities that help drive business outcomes (recruiting, retention, customer insights, etc)
Provides strategic and operational advice, consultation, and coaching to employee resource groups on diversity and inclusion
Manage the ERG budgets and operational plans
Maintains objectivity in order to provide ERG leaders with different perspectives to improve impact
In partnership with ERGs enhance opportunities to offer education specific to the population
Attend ERG events and meetings; Support field ERG advisement as well
Support the continued workstreams and plans outlined in the Employee Journey work
Create maturity models for each ERG to assess maturity and inform strategic roadmaps.
Serve as the advisor for the PRIDE journey
Provide quarterly business updates to ERG Executive Sponsor and ERG
Aspirational Goals and Data Analytics

Provides data and analytics to measure progress and success for diversity
Provides thought leadership and best practices to measure inclusion
Challenges the business leaders through data analytics to stretch their organizations while balancing risks
Proactively assesses the current organizational needs and progress to inform change through aspirational goals
Creates strategies to measure ERG effectiveness and opportunities for improvement
Develop and submit diversity “best companies” surveys and applications for external recognition and benchmarking

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
3 to 4 years Diversity Experience

Additional Skills/Preferences

Advanced degree, certification or course completion in diversity management; or previous experience working on D&I initiatives
At least 2 years of previous supervisor or leadership experience
At least 2 years of project management experience
Demonstrated ability to build effective external relationships
Vendor management experience
Facilitation experience
Experience in training employees
High learning agility
Meticulous and exacting attention to detail but also able to grasp the big picture.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to influence and effectively persuade stakeholders at all levels of the company to align to the company’s global D & I strategy
Ability to understand the business need and how to use D & I to drive the business forward
Strong strategic thinker with experience in project management
Experience working with cross-functional teams; collaborative; effective consensus building
At least 2 years working experience in diversity and inclusion
Ability to travel and attend external diversity/HR events
Personal commitment to diversity and inclusion
Ability to work non-core hours as needed
Ability to manage conflict and diffuse situations
Strong data and analytical skills
Attention to detail a must
