The Opportunity:
Your role at Sephora…
As a Lead Integrations Engineer, you will be part of a Shared Services Team, building integrations between internal applications as well as external partner systems to enable seamless business functions. The day-to-day duties of this role are to:

Assimilate high-level integrations requirements from product management team / business analyst and develop into actionable stories with required technical details

Lead end-to-end delivery of integration components, working with cross-functional engineering teams, product management, IT security, network operations, DevOps, external partners, testing teams etc.

Lead a team of integration developers (onsite and offshore)
-
Hands-on development as and when required; code review (ensuring code quality)

Help defining acceptance criteria for quality assurance and performance testing teams. Provide continued testing support during onsite hours.

Coordinate with vendor support teams to fix integration platform issues

Build automation for CI/CD, configuration updates and repeated tasks in collaboration with DevOps

With the help of developers, create detailed technical documents, prepare deployment runbook, and transfer the knowledge to production support team. Follow release process.

Provide technical leadership to resolve production issues by troubleshooting in collaboration with other technical teams

Participate in project discovery meetings and provide technical guidance on integration requirements

Work on POCs to evaluate new products or solutions

Lead, coach and support a team of integration developers (onsite and offshore)

Keep abreast of emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions for Sephora

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience with overall 10+ years of engineering and development experience
-
8+ years of experience in integrating enterprise applications using middleware tools (like SAG webMethods, Mulesoft, or Boomi)
-
2+ years of experience in building integrations using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Hub etc.)
-
Prior experience with messaging / streaming. Confluent Kafka experience preferred.

Ability to lead a small team of developers from offshore locations – may need daily touch base with team members located in India or Eastern Europe to explain the requirements, clarify doubts and unblock any technical challenges

Good understanding of different integration patterns like MFT, pub/sub, streaming, ETL and APIs
-
Experience with message formats like XML, JSON, Flat File - defining data models, data mapping, data translation and transformation
-
Understanding of transfer protocols like HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, AS2 etc.

Ability to code custom functions in Java, Spring Boot or JavaScript

3-5 years of experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment

Good analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Results-oriented, self-starter, self-educator, and can navigate dependencies and resolve roadblocks independently

Ability to work on multiple projects with judicious prioritization of issues and escalations
-
Prior experience in retail domain is a plus
The annual base salary range for this position is $143,570.00 - $178,320.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
