Central Research, Inc. is actively seeking an Administrative Assistant that thrives in a high energy fast-paced environment, to work closely with our Federal Government client.

This is a full-time 6-month position, with the possibility to become regular full-time.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide administrative support to the project manager, analysts, and document review staff.
Work independently and as a team player on projects that may include scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and disseminating information.
Develop and edit correspondence, reports, and project documentation.
Perform general office functions.

Educational Requirements:
High School Degree or GED

Experience Requirements:
2 or more years of experience in business, administration, or a related field; advanced degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
Current experience with data entry into spreadsheets and databases
Extremely good communications skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal
Ability to understand and effectively summarize information from files and documents in written format
Experience successfully initiating searches within program offices via email, tracking and monitoring the progress of those searches to completion
Analytical ability, along with a knowledge of the methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information
Ability to prioritize and manage workflow and commitments to meet deadlines
Highly organized, with attention to detail
Ability to identify, understand, and follow policies and program goals
Ability to quickly understand and utilize client’s requirements on style and format, office filing systems, and organizational and programmatic structure
Experience with travel regulations and time and attendance procedures to prepare vouchers and reports
Skill in informing partner offices of required reporting and general clerical administrative procedures of the organization
Experience with front reception desk phone coverage, greeting and escorting visitors, delivery of requested items
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred experience:
Administrative experience in a legal environment
