Bon Secours is seeking an experienced home health or hospice Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The position is remote after a brief on site training period. Remote employees are required to live within one hour of a Bon Secours facility.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide billing and related patient account services for departments providing hospice services, in accordance with established procedures and third party requirements.

1. Knowledge generally acquired through completion of high school education.
2. Knowledge of general billing procedures, patient accounting, coding, and introductory medical terminology generally acquired with one year’s previous billing experience in a healthcare setting.
3. Knowledge of hospice – specific coverage and payment issues generally acquired with 6-9 months on-the-job training and experience.
4. Previous experience using a variety of office equipment, including but not necessarily limited to: computer keyboard, printer, tape drive, copier, fax machine, telephone, and calculator.
