Summary: To provide seamless check-in and check-out processes for the guests, prepare for arrivals, process walk-ins, smoothly check in groups, verify departures and follow up on late departures.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Welcome and register guests in a timely manner.*
Check guests in and out, assign rooms and issue room keys or cards.*
Provide information about services available in the hostel and in the community.*
Protect privacy of guests and colleagues at all times.*
Verify customers’ credit and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.*
Promote and sell guest rooms.*
Keep an inventory of rooms reservations.*
Respond to reservation enquiries.*
Investigate and resolve disputed charges on guest accounts.*
Answer telephones and take messages.*
Handle and distribute guest mail.*
Record guest comments.*
Responsible for handling cash and operating the register.*
Communicate guest complaints and refer dissatisfied guests to a manager.*
