Art Consultant - Austin, Texas
Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art sales, client relationship management, and a deep passion for contemporary art. As a Fine Art Consultant, you will play a key role in managing high-end art sales, building relationships with collectors, and ensuring the highest standards of service in guiding clients through exhibitions and the art advisory process.
Duties:
- Manage and expand sales of high-end primary and secondary market artworks in various media
- Welcome gallery visitors and collectors, offering expert guidance through exhibitions and collections
- Provide professional art advisory services, ensuring exceptional customer service and communication
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with collectors, concierges, and friends of the gallery
- Build new relationships through networking, outreach, and referrals
- Meet and exceed personal and team sales goals
- Conduct cold calls, create appointments, and generate interest through relationship-building activities
- Participate in private viewings at collectors’ homes and in the gallery
- Manage CRM systems, with experience in ArtCloud as a plus
- Engage in networking opportunities within the Greater-Austin arts community
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven art sales experience, preferably in a comparable gallery setting
- Strong understanding of contemporary art, with a passion for post-war and street art
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- A degree in Art History or a related field is a plus
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and responsible
- Ability to work collaboratively within a sales team and maintain a professional image
- Strong network of contacts within the regional and national art scene is advantageous
- Experience in CRM management, with familiarity with ArtCloud as a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
