Job Description

The Technical Project Manager will estimate the working effort of the respective project by evaluating technical requirements for hardware, software, and application component releases. S/he will coordinate SystemTechnical Design Reviews. S/he will coordinate development, calibration, and validation of anti-lock braking systems (ABS), traction control systems (TCS) and electronic stability control (ESC) Brake Modulation Systems. The Technical Project Manager is the technical interface between the customer and internal technical project teams for ABS, TCS, and ESC Brake Modulation Systems. Participation in cross-functional technical project meetings. S/he will evaluate customer requirements and coordinate the tracking system within technical project teams. Participation in vehicle test sessions in different locations and in different seasons, to evaluate vehicle performance relative to requirements. The TPM will coordinate project handling and project documentation according to specified processes. S/he will perform release procedures (verification and validation) for ABS/TCS/ESC software for different sample stages as well as final production software. S/he will provide customer support and attend customer meetings on a daily basis. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required to visit customer sites and Bosch facilities.


Required Experience:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Requires 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience.
At least 3 years of experuence in the automotive industry.

Preferred Experience:
Prior experience with negotiating requirements with customers.
Strong ability to understand technical concepts and development process.
Experience managing project teams.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate concepts to a technical and non-technical audience.
Ability to articulate key concepts and issues in oral and written communication.
High degree of personal integrity and accountability.
Ability to work on multiple projects and issues.
Ability to listen and concisely summarize and to make decisions in a timely manner.
Experience with braking components.
