Hyman Inc is an established marketer of innovative and creative new products for the global home décor, household cleaning tool and security markets. Our products are presented through multiple brands including licensing rights to multiple Honeywell product categories. We are a supplier to all major US retailers including Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Walmart, and Target and operates our own retail eCommerce business in the Amazon marketplace. Day-to-Day as a Product Manager
- Category Management: Develop and execute 3-year category strategy plans, encompassing micro and macroeconomic factors, market data, consumer and category insights, expansion/growth opportunities, along with price positioning and executional imperatives.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on all stages of product life cycle, including design, sourcing, costing, manufacturing, packaging, presentation, sell-in, point of sale, promotion, decline and discontinuance.
- Project Management: Manage new product pipeline through stage gate process, including day-to-day task management, establishing project timelines, conducting weekly cross-functional status meetings, ensuring critical milestones are met, and aligning with leadership on all approval stages.
- Branding & Consumer Messaging: Establish product positioning and key messaging with brand and target audience in mind. Write copy for packaging, POP, instruction manuals and online space.
- Market Research: Conduct and analyze primary and secondary research (IRI, Mintel, NPD etc.) for insights that drive category growth and expansion.
- Sales Support: Develop sell sheets, presentations, mockups and other sales collateral to support product sell-in. Participate in sales calls as needed.
- Ecom: Work with ecom and creative teams to develop compelling channel assortments, digital content and promotional plans for omnichannel marketing efforts. Maintain online product presence and update content as needed.
- Licensing & Private Label: Develop products for key partners, aligning design and messaging with brand. Submit digital files and physical samples for approval and maintain submission tracking form.
- Train sales and consumer services teams on new product features.
- Create and maintain all product information sheets for category including specification sheets, product announcements, sourcing documents, price sheets and sales collateral.
- Communicate with overseas team on sourcing, new development and product maintenance.
What You Bring as a Product Manager
- 4-year degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications is desired
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing products in the Consumer Goods industry
- Previous experience with P&L management is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Capacity to weave data analysis into storytelling
- Experience with syndicated data is preferred
- Solution-oriented, self-motivated, collaborative, analytical, creative thinker, financial acumen
- Willingness to work in person in our Atlanta office
