Hibbett Sports, a leading athletic-inspired fashion retailer with 1,100 locations based in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking a Senior Director, Employee Relations & Talent Acquisition. As a member of the Human Resources leadership team, this highly collaborative and experienced Human Resources leader will assist the VP, Human Resources with the company's employee relations & talent acquisition strategy. This role will create partnerships with our stores, the store support center (corporate office), and Hibbett Wholesale, Inc. to facilitate best human capital management practices. This leader will partner with each area of our business to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the company and to deliver best talent in the organization. In addition, this role will assist the HR management team in assessing professional development and talent needs, succession planning, performance management, and retention and organizational development strategies.
Create a strategic talent acquisition process that ultimately leads to a premium retail customer experience.
Build relationships with other senior leaders of the organization to deliver upon strategic workforce planning needs.
Partner with HR leadership in designing and developing critical talent-cycle components such as succession planning, professional development, performance management, and career-pathing strategies.
Manages relationships with academic institutions, leadership development organizations, and other professional organizations focused on talent acquisition and retention strategies.
Assist HR management in evaluating employee relations, workplace conduct concerns, and meets with supervisors and managers to determine effective remediation techniques.
Develops and conducts training to instruct managers, supervisors, and workers in skills such as supervisory skills, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication.
Oversees the resolution of ethics & compliance concerns that are reported through the ethics and compliance reporting system.
An established human resources and talent acquisition leader with innovative experience developing wide-ranging talent acquisition programs
A proven track-record of creating a preferred employer culture
A leader with proven ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated experience leading a successful talent acquisition team
A proven track-record of exceptional customer service with a focus for taking action and executing as an overall great team player
A proven tactical problem-solver concerning HRIS systems integrations issues with experience strategizing to prevent future occurrences.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of leadership in the field of human resources and talent acquisition
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
HRIS experience using iCims, DayForce and/or Infor (Lawson) considered a plus
