PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Senior PeopleSoft Business Analyst serves as a facilitator and functional resource for Jefferson’s PeopleSoft HCM application. The Sr. PeopleSoft Business Analyst provides functional application expertise for various PeopleSoft Modules (HR, Benefits Administration, Profile Management, Candidate Gateway, Performance Management, and Position Management). This position will provide leadership for reviewing new business processes and solution designs to ensure that cross-functional teams fully understand the impact of decisions made during system configuration. The Senior PeopleSoft Business Analyst will gather and document requirements, define and document setup and configuration, review technical specifications, and may conduct and facilitate fit/gap analysis and design sessions. This position will provide functional support for PeopleSoft enhancements and customizations from concept to completion, helping to drive the successful implementation and maintenance of the Oracle PeopleSoft HCM system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analyze business end-user needs, document requirements and translate into proper business user specifications.
Consult with business end-users regarding issue management, business process design and business optimization.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the Jefferson's PeopleSoft HCM 9.x system from a functional configuration perspective.
Act as a business advocate and liaison for various projects with varying budgets and durations.
Support and apply the appropriate project management methodology.
Responsible for functional product knowledge of HR applications and assist and educate end-users on the use of the system, including reporting tools.
Act as the primary liaison to business end-users and technical team through the project and project support life-cycle.
Ensure project and production support success through timely issue resolution and proactive assistance and monitoring of deliverables.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University .

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science or a closely related field, Masters preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION :
Oracle/PeopleSoft HCM Certification preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
7+ years of PeopleSoft HCM Functional design experience
Previous experience in a HR business operations role, including a proficient understanding of business and industry issues.
Previous experience with at least 1 full-life cycle PeopleSoft implementation as a functional team member and/or team lead.
Previous experience with at least one, preferably two full-life cycles PeopleSoft upgrades as a functional team member and/or team lead.
Experience in a consulting environment is a plus.
Experience in the health care or university setting is a plus.
Familiarity with technology and business use of technology is a necessity in order to provide direction for business processes and product enhancements

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
