About the Position
Responsible for all operational procurement needs required for the plant. Partners directly with plant leadership to assess needs, develop solutions, and proactively manage sourcing needs and plant store services. Ensures appropriate collaborative communication is occurring between global category teams and transactional support teams. Drives procurement policy compliance for procurement activity within scope. Supports organizational change management efforts for plant in support of the overall business needs. Leads the transformational and change processes required to drive and develop the support required at this location.
Executes sourcing strategies at a plant in alignment with overall procurement vision and supports organizational change management efforts.
Drives compliance to all procurement policies and procedures. (ex. open PO's, open budgets, pricing discrepancies, audit follow-up, delivery issues, return items, etc.).
Manages all plant store room operations.
Balances the Goodyear Buying Center deliverables with the stakeholder needs.
Maintains relationships with local suppliers based on procurement supplier segmentation strategy and executes negotiations for all local contracts in order to meet financial targets.
Responsible for the plant procurement annual operating plan and delivering projects to improve the total cost of ownership.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field).
Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Project Management certification preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in procurement, supply chain or materials management required.
Proficient negotiation abilities and application of strategic sourcing process.
Desired Skills and Abilities
Prior experience applying project management principles and change management tools in a business setting preferred.
Bilingual (French and English - written and spoken), strong communication (technical, non-technical) and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with SAP, SRM and Outlook are an important asset.
