Simbex seeks a Front End Web Developer to be part of our multi-disciplinary team creating cutting edge products for the sports, consumer health, and medical device markets. The Front End Developer will be part of our web team and work closely with the Simbex hardware team and biomedical engineering team to create elegant user interfaces for web and mobile.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated professional experience with modern web development, SPA, understands user centered UI/UX design, and cares about building testable and maintainable applications. Bottom line, you’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team creating transformative products that have real impact on people’s lives.   • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project team to develop, test, and support commercial products
  • Assist with development of usability, regression, and integration test plans
  • Assist with integration of automated test suites
  • Life cycle management of software, including release through upgrades, to end-of-life
  • Participate in routine code reviews of your own work and the work of your peers
  • Maintain detailed application bug lists
  • Provide user support to our commercial clients
  • Work with third party web design firms
  • Assist with UI/UX development from ideation to verification
  • Develop and maintain code documentation related to software requirements, specification, and design throughout the product development process


  • 3+ years of web development with demonstrable experience in consumer facing responsive and interactive products
  • Experience building modern web apps using front-end technologies like Angular, React, and Vue.js
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience with software development life cycle management
  • Experience with data visualization frameworks like D3.js and highcharts
  • Familiarity with usability testing concepts
  • Familiarity with build tools & package managers such as Grunt, npm, bower, webpack
  • Thorough understanding of both client and web application development
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to advocate for your own ideas and be able to clearly articulate concepts, rationale, and potential consequences to individuals and groups with varying technical backgrounds
