Neurointerventional Rad Tech (38190)
Responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician, including; extra-cranial and intra-cranial angiography, vertebroplasty, other spinal injections, myelograms and cisternograms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical support for muscoskeletal procedures to include: discograms, aspirations, and therapeutic injections.
Responsible for technical support of neurointerventional procedures including: tumor, epistaxis, and spinal lesion embolization using particulate, liquid, and detachable technologies.
Operates required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
Ensures proper safety standards are met.
Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary.
Performs quality assurance checks on equipment.
Assists in maintaining supply inventory.
Demonstrates working knowledge of Medical Center information systems.
Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures.
Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required. Associate’s Degree in Radiography preferred.
- Experience: 1 year relevant experience
- License/Certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required. ARRT (VI) certification preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
