Sr. Manager, Business Development and Strategy (BDS)

BDS contributes to Byton's differentiation by identifying, evaluating, and developing relevant strategies, (digital) business models and corporate structures. As the senior business development and strategy manager, you will be the primary owner of various strategic and business development work streams. You will orchestrate efficient strategy derivation across functions and initiate the implementation. The role works closely with and supports senior management with analytics, market insight and proposals to facilitate fast decision making, supporting the achievement of short- and long-term objectives, and providing overall strategic guidance towards the organization. This role will leverage interactions with internal stakeholders to facilitate "where to play" and" how to win" decisions. The senior manager further drives Byton's organizational development in terms of capabilities, processes, and governance.


  • Set and support the achievement of short- and long-term objectives and milestones by providing strategic guidance towards the organization
  • Analyze market dynamics, segments, competitors and technologies
  • Derive benchmarks to prepare sound recommendations related to technologies, (digital) business models and collaboration models
  • Lead strategic work packages and project organizations where required
  • Identify opportunities to increase BYTON's value and profit contribution
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities based on 3rd party relationships
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across locations (i.e. US, CN, HK)

  • Excellent analytic, result-oriented problem-solving and management skills with a high level of initiative and sound judgement
  • Top tier tech industry, consulting firm or own venture background
  • 7+ years working experience, thereof 3-4 years in strategic functions
  • Proven track record in defining and delivering business models
  • Strong understanding of mobility segments and digital ecosystems
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent team player and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of organization
  • Capable of leading complex matrix organizations and project teams
  • Self-motivated, organized, and hardworking with excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
