GAA’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification is the world’s most trusted, comprehensive and proven third-party aquaculture certification program. Through the BAP certification program, we’ve been improving the environmental, social and economic performance of the aquaculture supply chain and growing the global supply of responsibly farmed seafood. Our BAP Operations team works closely with Certification Bodies throughout the world in support of audits intended to ensure BAP standards are maintained and adhered to.

GAA is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a UI Developer

As a member of the GAA Software Engineering team, the UI Developer will be primarily responsible for building user interfaces for the BAP web applications.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop website landing pages
  • Create navigational tools and logic coding
  • Design multipage forms and connect them to our APIs
  • Work closely with UX designer to establish baseline interfaces
  • Meet with stakeholders and domain experts throughout the development process
  • Test and do QA with the help of non-technical end users
  • Manage releases to Microsoft Azure

To be successful in this role requires:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience using React, Vue, Angular, or similar JavaScript framework
  • 1-3 years plus experience in the following programming and markup languages:
  • CSS / SCSS
  • JavaScript
  • Node
  • HTML 5
  • JSON and other date structure * Experience working on enterprise web application user interfaces a huge plus
  • Web Page Performance Optimization Experience a plus
  • Experience with Mobile and Tablet application a plus
  • Experience with Azure or AWS desired
  • Familiarity with .NET MVC and C# a plus

Other requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • One to three years of work experience in similar role
