This position is located at the Enterprise Print Plant located within Nash Correctional in Nash County. The primary purpose of the courier driver is the delivery and pick up of finished products and various types of mail such as graphic design materials, customer disk, customer hard copy, low and high resolution proofs and other print related materials. This position is responsible for safely operating a small or medium size cubed van or a box truck in in various road, weather, and traffic conditions during various times of day. This position is responsible for transporting mail, graphic design, and production related materials to and from various state or tax supported agencies primarily in the downtown Raleigh area. In addition, this position is responsible for tracking required vehicle maintenance and requesting the scheduling of repairs of the vehicle. The employee is required to maintain and record daily mileage. The employee must have a valid NC driver's license and must be able to operate vehicle in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations. The employee must communicate effectively with customers to resolve minor questions related to customer orders; also be able to communicate effectively with inmates, staff, and upper management.

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:
  • Must be able to perform minor vehicle maintenance to include checking of fluid levels, tire pressure and ensure that the lights are in proper working condition.
  • Must be able to prepare itinerary and read map in order to deliver products.
  • Must demonstrate good customer service skills.
  • Must have a valid NC drivers license.
Managerial Preference will be given to applicants with at least six months of transportation and delivery experience.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
