Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00+ /year, plus completion bonuses

Perfect Pools is seeking a Project Manager to oversee roughly 15 projects a year. This role’s primary responsibility is to oversee all installation teams and direct the work on outdoor construction projects. The right candidate must have leadership abilities and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to professionally and effectively speak with clients as necessary. The right candidate must also have great time management skills and have the ability to multitask and be able to handle multiple projects at the same time. This position will be a salaried position based on experience.

Daily Tasks:

  • Direct daily activities for multiple construction crews over multiple job sites, participate in team activities, establish task priorities, manage crew hours, schedule and track work assignments, provide guidance, and ensure the availability of resources.
  • Responsible for coordination of all phases of outdoor construction activities to meet or exceed both project and company profitability goals.
  • Help schedule subcontractors
  • Oversee all subcontractors on your outdoor project and ensure that they are providing quality work. Subcontractor will range from masonry, carpentry, plumbing, etc.
  • Plan and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all contracted work.
  • Correspond with clients, salespersons, client relations manager, production manager, flower operations manager, technical manager, foremen, buyers, etc. on material status and production planning with a professional working relationship.
  • Responsible to drive daily in a company vehicle with or without passengers.
  • Responsible for submitting accurate and timely paperwork, time records, work orders, reports, and other documents that are required.
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects including change orders, inspections, payments, design, and building department coordination.
  • Produce and oversee critical details in production of construction documents.
  • Track budget on every project and ensure profitability of each project.
  • Provide training and oversight to direct helpers.
  • Assist Operations Manager in filling positions that may be available.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of construction building techniques.
  • Candidates must have a valid local driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds and perform physical field work.
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Strong conceptual and design skills
  • Proven experience managing project teams, project budget and scheduling throughout building process.
  • Candidate must be able to successfully manage 3-5 complex residential construction projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with exceptional time management skills
  • Client management and project coordination skills
  • Great interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues and clients
  • Must excel in conceptual planning skills, strive for high quality and innovative design solutions, have excellent presentation skills, show initiative in problem solving, work well with others.
  • As a self-starter who takes initiative use strong design and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical detailing and construction administration skills
  • Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
  • Fluent in English: spoken and written
  • Timely filing of construction documents, construction administration including knowledge of building codes.
  • Proficient in computer skills; Proficient in MS Word and also in MS Excel.
  • Able to create an atmosphere of accountability and professionalism among staff.
  • Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required
  • Ability to read blueprints/plans
  • Ability to lead/train/mentor crew members
  • Heavy equipment experience (loader, skid, excavator)
  • Hardscape experience (patios, walls, water features, etc.)
  • Pool experience is a plus but not required
