V’s Barbershop offers the most advanced system to turbo charge your career into a barber or stylist who makes at LEAST $50,000 per year PLUS Benefits. Our barber/stylists consistently earn $50,000 to $70,000+ per year and have access to the following benefits: a four-day work week, no work on Sundays, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, and a 401k retirement plan.
Duties and Responsibilities - Barbers may perform a range of tasks related to hair cutting and styling but may also perform administrative tasks and managerial duties if they are in a supervisory or ownership role. Barbers are primarily responsible for directly assisting clients and executing the V's system with daily duties including:
- Assess hair and scalp health and recommend treatments and products
- Consult with clients and advise hairstyle and hair treatment options
- Cut and style hair to client’s specifications
- Use chemical solutions to blend gray in men's hair and beard
- Maintain barbershop sanitation and health standards, including cleaning and disinfecting workstations
- Trim and groom clients’ beard and moustache with combs, razors, scissors and clippers
- Process client payments
- Execute the V's barber system of success
Skills and Qualifications - A capable barber should have the skills and qualifications that align with your job description, such as:
- Must have valid Arkansas Cosmetology License or Arkansas Barber license
- Time management skills to complete client services in an efficient and timely manner
- Technical knowledge and skill for hair to assist clients with a variety of hair types and needs
- Interpersonal skills to connect with clients, building long term relationships and client loyalty
- Aesthetic creativity to create unique styles tailored to client-specific visions
- Communication skills to listen and understand client requests, as well as discuss various options and decisions before, during and after services
- Customer service skills as necessary for performing transactions, scheduling appointments and following up with clients
- Physical abilities that allow them to stand for long periods and perform precise cuts
