Project Manager
AI Innovations is a wholesale only sign, channel letter, and awning manufacturer that serves retail sign and awning companies across the U.S. since 1999. We are now one of the largest wholesale-only sign fabricators in the country by square footage, employee manpower, and sales volume. We serve customers nationwide from our location near Indianapolis, Indiana.
We are seeking a dynamic professional who possesses an analytical mind, organization, attention to detail and strong leadership, to join our team as a Project Manager. A Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish. This includes monitoring, controlling, and scheduling the project for production. Responsibilities can include coordinating and communicating with different departments, monitoring timelines, ensuring quality control, and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Have a complete understanding of the customer accounts and support the Sales rep responsible for the customer.
· Track the quote requests of the accounts. Send weekly reminders to Sales rep if quote has been missed or unanswered.
· Once job is sold, prepare a Verification of Order (VO) with all details so the customer will have a confident sign off including the expected delivery date.
· Compare the order to the quote by the Salesperson to confirm the job has not changed by difficulty or by value. A requote would need to be prepared if there was a change.
· Identify and gather all details from the customer on the job and communicate with the Engineering so they can create an accurate and comprehensive Approval drawing and Pack list.
· Receive the signed VO or PO with every order and Upload or Enter the project into E2, cooperating software.
· Track projects through Engineering to make sure the jobs are getting engineered on time.
· If jobs do not meet the Engineering cutoff time, the PM will notify the Salesperson and Sales Manager that there is a problem.
· If the job will not be released before the desired cutoff for Cycle start, then the PM will contact the customer that the job is delayed and copy the Salesperson. The Salesperson will handle any conflict.
· PMs meet for every Cycle scheduling meeting and create the production cycle by filling each Product category to their capacity if available.
· If there is too much work for the production cycle, the PMs work together to determine which jobs stay in the current cycle and which jobs move to the next production cycle. They will notify the customer and the Salesperson of the job of any change.
· Coordinate with the Shipping Manager to determine the shipping plan for the job. Must relay plan to customer and Salesperson.
· Work with production team to get status updates on job. Make sure the job is on time and moving through production timely.
· Make sure credits are applied to the account correctly.
Qualifications:
· Highly organized and detailed oriented
· Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
· Good leadership skills with ability to delegate and supervise work.
· Excellent computer skills and ability to learn company ERP system.
· The understanding and aptitude to work with computer inventory programs and software.
· Strong interpersonal and communications skills for interacting and coordinating work within the departments of the organization.
· Strong desire to achieve and highly goal oriented.
· Able to work with minimum supervision.
· Ability to perform basic math calculations and general engineering functions.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May be required to go on manufacturing floor to review projects.
Salary: $30,000 base plus commission
