Companion Linc is a 245D Waivered Services Provider that supports approximately 180 individuals throughout the Metro Area with a variety of intellectual and/or physical needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.

Competitive Pay & Great Benefits - Direct Support Professionals start at $14.50/hour with a raise at 12 months, based upon satisfactory performance. Employees are paid to complete and maintain all required training for their position. Full-time employees are offered life insurance at no cost, Paid Time Off (PTO) and 8 Paid Holidays, as well as Health, Dental and Vision Insurance at a reasonable cost.
Position, Hours & Wage:
Direct Support Professional - Full-Time Opening
Friday through Tuesday 2:00-10:00PM (40 hours/week)
This position will support up to 4 individuals who are utilizing our Respite House in Apple Valley, MN for short stays. The home is licensed to provide supports to individuals over the age of 16 and is a handicap accessible home. Many of the individuals have physical support needs and require a high level of assistance to complete personal cares.
Provide individuals with physical, emotional, and behavioral support allowing them to actively participate in activities offered while encouraging personal choices and assisting to maintain their personal safety;
Provide transportation to activities during each shift;
Complete detailed, accurate documentation for all individuals supported during each shift;
Other duties specific to individuals supported.
Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs
18 years of age or older
Valid driver's license (*no exceptions)
Dependable vehicle with current auto insurance
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Minnesota DHS background study clearance
Prefer work experience in the human services field
Willingness to complete hands-on personal cares, inlcuding assistance with lifting/transferring, showering, dressing and toileting
Willingness to participate with the individuals supported a in variety of scheduled community activities
