In this role you will be entrusted with valuable items of great emotional significance to our clients. Selling such items is often an act of both empowerment and catharsis. In this position, you will serve as the high touch guide for clients through the process of putting items up for auction on Worthy’s proprietary online platform. You’ll guide clients through this integral portion of the sales cycle, from offer price consultation to bid acceptance, in order to enable our customers to achieve maximum results.

This role offers solid training, a good deal of autonomy, and is a master session in building your client services skills to expert level in the luxury goods marketplace. As a reward you’ll help clients achieve a significant life moment towards key goals they have. We get a lot of thank you’s. You will work closely with the team that brings the items in house and the gemology departments who are experts in evaluating luxury goods.

Responsibilities

  • Empathize with and deeply understand client needs and concerns while serving as the primary point of contact during the auction process
  • Liaison with the Staff Gemologists, leveraging their expertise to mitigate client concerns
  • Collaborate effectively with team leadership to ensure the more difficult challenges are handled with the highest level of client service
  • Partner with the Auction Manager Support Team to ensure client services are a smooth and gratifying experience
  • Manage the post auction process by empowering and thoughtfully coaching clients through closing the sale, instructing them how to effectively utilize the tools available on our platform

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of client related experience in the retail jewelry space (diamond focus preferred)
  • GIA issued Graduate Gemologist certification preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong affinity for problem solving
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and client service skills
  • Strong team player, detail oriented, flexible, accurate, discreet, dependable, resourceful and able to multi-task gracefully
  • Comfort with various software systems, Slack, Google sheets etc.

Due to the start-up nature of our business, flexibility in scheduling is required. Employment requires some night and weekend shifts. Overtime opportunities are available based on need.
