The primary role of this individual will be to provide quality assurance, quality control, general and administrative QA support services to all departments at EPSP.
Provides Quality department presence at the assigned shift for scheduled production operations.
Prepares, issues, inspects, reviews, and files all QA paperwork (batch records, inspection records, audits, etc.) associated with production, receiving, shipping and testing operations. Conducts Quality Audits and inspections of finished goods, incoming raw materials, packaging and in-process goods in accordance with EPSP procedures.
Handles Customer and Vendor Complaints when possible and appropriate to help meet pressing delivery needs.
Helps the Crew Leader and Department Manager maintain department communication with production personnel regarding product quality. Assigns lot numbers to batch runs and report discrepancies to proper authorities.
Uses and maintain Quality Files kept electronically for use on the PC. Works with the Calibration Technician to ensure that all equipment calibrations are current and are documented.
Keeps copies of all forms required for use by QA department.
Uses and assists in maintaining label master files, label inventory, and label control. Coordinates samples for testing and laboratory data packages for outside analytical services.
Conducts hourly dimensional and visual inspections of finished goods in accordance with written procedures.
Maintains accurate and detailed records of inspections and audits.
Assists the QA Crew Leader and other QA Technicians in the department as needed.
Assists and performs duties assigned by SOP in the execution of aseptic/ sterile processing and environmental monitoring plans. Performs special Quality Department projects as needed and any other duties required by the QA Crew Leader and QA Manager. Performs overtime as required.
High school or Associate's degree from a two year college, or vocational technical institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret standard operating procedures, Customer Order Requirements (CORs), work instructions and lab results.
Ability to effectively present and explain information, respond to questions from co-workers, managers, clients and customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in key units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to identify patterns and define problems, collect and organize data, establish basic facts and draw reasonable conclusions. Ability to understand oral and/or written instructions and to deal with occasional abstract and concrete variables.
