CACI is currently looking for a HW-SW Requirements Specialist with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The ideal candidate is a professional with prior experience in a procurement related position. Successful candidate shall have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and experience purchasing, specifying or selling equipment. This role supports CACI’s effort to purchase various types of IT equipment for the DHS and BEMSD. This individual will interface independently across the team as well as directly with client stakeholders using strong verbal and written communications skills to develop and maintain great working relationships with all stakeholders.

What you’ll get to do:
Serves as a focal point for the submission of purchases, which include:

Understanding and documenting requirements, entering data into corporate tracking software and reviewing that data, preparing documents to support the procurement of IT equipment, and interfacing between manufacturers and customers to resolve questions or ambiguities. Provide monthly briefings to PMO on cost performance
Organizing and implementing a variety of tasks related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated system information.
Independently manage the performance of logistical functions including system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance, and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Duties may also include managing the control of the flow of goods, services, and information between the point of origin through customer placement.
Plans, schedules, and routes imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from international destinations, ensuring related customer service, and customs transaction compliance.
Assesses and maintains compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
Reviewing and evaluating work and preparing periodic performance reports
Consistently ensuring product quality and timeliness of efforts
Support monthly IPMR activities

You have:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria will include, but not limited to:
3 year check for felony convictions
1 year check for illegal drug use
1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
Professional Experience: at least five (5) year related experience; particularly working on government contracts
College degree (B.A.; B.S.) in a related discipline.
Must have extensive knowledge of the CHESS procurement vehicle

Direct procurement experience with the DHS and BEMSD.
Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing creative solutions, exhibiting resourcefulness.
Periodically develops data which goes beyond existing boundaries of information in field.
Acts independently to expose and resolve problems.
