Delos Labs is seeking a talented and exceptional individual with a background in behavioral science to assist behavioral and health scientists conduct secondary and applied research to understand psychological, behavioral, and cultural factors which influence health and well-being in buildings (homes, offices, schools, etc.). The candidate will be responsible for applying behavioral principles to understand factors that may influence how health and well-being decisions are made at the individual level. A successful candidate for this position should demonstrate an innovative mindset and have professional experience in understanding and applying psychological and behavioral theories in real life-settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist behavioral and health scientists in developing behavioral and technology-based interventions to positively impact health-based behaviors and habits
  • Conduct market research using surveys and interviews
  • Generate literature reviews on psychological, behavioral, and cultural factors affecting health and well-being
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in behavioral theories related to promoting positive change in health-based behaviors, as well as in the technology and methodology of intervention design and evaluation
  • Assist behavioral and health scientists in developing behavioral and technology-based interventions to positively impact health-based behaviors and habits
Prerequisite Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in the psychological or behavioral sciences, including: Environmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology, Neuroscience, I/O psychology Sociology, or Behavioral Economics
  • A strong background, including broad knowledge of several of the following topics, and advanced knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
  • Environmental effects on behavior
  • Cognitive performance and/or productivity
  • Sleep health
  • Stress, emotions, or mood theory
  • Habit formation and attenuation
  • Nudge theory
  • Genetics and behavior
  • Market Research
  • Strong skills in discovering, critiquing, and reviewing new developments in behavioral interventions how they can be implemented in real-world products, and their potential use to improve health and well-being
  • Genuine interest in using building-based and technology-based solutions, such as wearables, apps, and push notifications, to positive change behavior and choices
  • Genuine interest in understanding how our environment can impact our behaviors and choices
  • A positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate with and learn from a multi-disciplinary and international team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Experience with one of the following statistical software packages:
  • SPSS, SAS, R
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in health and wellness market research
  • Experience with survey creation or validation
Compensation:
Pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with prior experience.
