Overview
We're looking for a lead developer to help guide development of the next generation of R&D systems. We have a huge backlog of interesting greenfield projects and opportunities to apply the right technologies for the job, without cumbersome bureaucratic barriers. Our stack currently includes ASP.NET (Core), MVC, Web API, EF, SQL Server, Lucene, MSMQ, WPF, Angular (and more) and we're constantly evaluating other technologies to integrate into the landscape, particularly as our SOA matures.

Responsibilities
This is a full stack, lead development position. As such, you'll be expected to provide technical leadership in a small development team (2-5 developers). You’ll be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle. Your tasks will include:

Application design and architecture
Integration with other systems (custom and 3rd party) in the environment
Full Stack Development

Project management, including:
Project planning, corresponding to strategic priorities
Delegating tasks within your team
Providing estimates
Working with stakeholders in the business
Producing technical documentation
Help drive adoption of best practices within the development group
Qualifications

Candidates should be competent in the following areas:
Strong project management and leadership skills
Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to multitask

Required Skills / Experience:
2+ years of technical leadership responsibilities
8+ years professional application development
6+ years in C# ASP.NET (MVC or Web API)
2+ years developing JavaScript or a wrapper language (e.g. TypeScript, CoffeeScript, etc.)
Web Front End technologies (HTML5 / CSS) and a CSS Framework such as Bootstrap
All phases of SDLC
Agile methodologies
Entity Framework
Angular / TypeScript
Git
SQL Server

Preferred Skills / Experience:
Angular
CI
Unit and Integration Testing
Experience Developing Applications in Chemical or Petroleum Fields
Experience with LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebooks, or other Analytical Tools

Hiring Process:
Candidates will initially participate in a brief, technical phone screen. Qualified candidates will be invited to a phone/skype interview to discuss their background (technical and otherwise) along with pertinent job/company details. Moving forward, the candidates will be invited to an on-site interview which will include a code test and an opportunity to meet with various team members and stakeholders.
