The role of the Technical Solutions Systems Engineer will work as part of an elite and agile team responsible for maintaining and resolving system functionality issues through proactive and reactive interaction with the customer, comprehensive understanding of their primary exploitation system, and knowledge of the production mission. The successful candidate will provide technical and system administration support through troubleshooting, identifying and isolating issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implement appropriate solutions to software anomalies as they occur. The TIER 3 engineer will actively troubleshoot Operating System (OS), Microsoft System Center client, and Geospatial software integration issues. Candidate should be able to quickly respond to system/application related issues, resolve on the spot problems (where possible), replicate the issue for internal analysis/diagnosis, and prepare technical documentation accurately depicting the problem and/or solution for feedback to developer/vendor.
Bachelors’ Degree and 8-10 years’ of relevant experience or equivalent relevant experience.
Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Analyze test results, isolate problems, engineer solutions, and resolve intense issues.
Evaluate and diagnose application and software issues
Troubleshoot problems and provide customer support for software operating system and application issues.
Ability to advise infrastructure engineers on machine characteristics affecting software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.
Ability to maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participate in special projects as required.
Support enterprise systems including integration, coding, testing, and deploying and support software complex systems.
Demonstrated ability to quickly respond to application related issues, resolve on the spot problems (where possible), replicate the issue for internal analysis/diagnosis, and prepare technical documentation accurately depicting the problem and/or solution for implementation or feedback to developer/vendor as applicable.
Write/update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
SCCM deployment and infrastructure knowledge including troubleshooting, design, and implementation experience.
Ability to create Advertisement/Collections/Packages within an SCCM environment.
Knowledge of intelligence productions systems used by GEOINT analysts.
Demonstrated knowledge of GEOINT analyst’s various software suites and functions to include but not limited to RemoteView, SocetGXP, Socet Set, Google Earth, ArcGIS, ENVI, and Image Scout.
Demonstrated ability to decompose/reverse engineer pre-built (wrapper) software packages to isolate, identify, and diagnose integration issues.
