In the IT Customer Relations and Support department, we're focused on providing the bridge between IT and the rest of the organization. We're dedicated to acting as a liaison within the organization to support all departments while improving relationships along the way.

As an IT Concierge Specialist, you will be a clear communicator with organizational and prioritization skills. You will be contacting hiring managers to understand the IT needs of new employees, verifying core access to IT systems have been granted, coordinating the submission of IT requests and conducting appropriate follow-ups or escalations with the expected goal of providing access to core IT systems on day one of employment. You will also be responsible for managing a centralized queue of IT requests and helps to route/resolve those requests in an expeditious manner.

Job Summary

This position develops and provides customer service to the hospital communities. They assist their peers in delivering these services to facility personnel. The incumbent manages, coordinates and assigns facility project tasks to the department facility team and follows through with team members to assure tasks are completed efficiently and timely. The incumbent ensures customer needs, issues and problems are addressed promptly, and proposing solutions when necessary. The incumbent assists director in identifying, organizing, and reporting on facility team projects and activities. Position activities include organizing routine facility project meetings and participating in the project management and support of major IT and facility driven projects.

Essential Functions

Provides technical expertise and support for security software, including operational aspects of the software.

Provides and enhances customer support for all services; project management and direction in the support of customer projects. Works with other team members, IT and business/facility members in planning and implementation of projects and services.

Identifies, prioritizes, directs and schedules customer requests and routine assignments. Ensure that appropriate resources are deployed to meet customer business, clinical and technical needs. Follow-up on customer requests to assure the final product has been delivered to meet expectations.

Organized and attends routine facility project meetings; manages and assists the support of major IT and facility driven projects to ensure proper support; and proposing solutions to meet needs or exceed customer service expectations.

Utilizes problem solving techniques to independently triage problems with network infrastructure, business or product line specific applications.

Interacts with customers and vendor partners in managing, assessing, designing, planning and developing detailed specifications for project assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelors degree in related field plus 4 years experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience typically achieved in 6 years of experience.

Must have in-depth working knowledge of hardware and software components to ensure the operability of the information technology infrastructure and application systems, such as knowing application hardware memory requirements or applications which require alternations to standard desktop package. Must demonstrate general knowledge of information technology and healthcare. Needs experience in small scale project planning and reporting either individual or team. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate, and interact across facilities and at various levels. Successful candidate will have skills to mentor less experienced team members. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
