The Operations & Technology talent team at NBCUniversal is looking for a progressive, creative, high-energy Manager of Talent & Pipeline Programs. Reporting the VP of Talent & Organizational Development, this role is right for you if you want to be an HR Business Partner, Talent Developer and Recruiter all rolled into one.
We support the Operations & Technology business unit across NBCU with a population of approximately 4,000 employees. What’s super cool about our client group is that they power major NBCU events like the Olympics, National Elections, popular TV shows, revered News programs, and much more. In this role, you’ll spearhead and develop our talent pipeline programs to meet both current and future business needs. From early career pipelines like our Media Tech Internship and Media Tech Associate Rotational Programs to our progressive, mid-career Act Two Return-to-Work Program, you’ll own the entire cohort experience and lifecycle.
HR & Program Management
Serve as the leader of our pipeline programs and central point of contact for program associates, managers, and HR
Partner with business leaders and HR Managers to curate dynamic assignments
Manage the cohort experience including onboarding, assimilation, mobility, performance, compensation, engagement and transition off program
Marketing & Recruitment
Lead pipeline recruitment in partnership with the Talent Acquisition and Campus teams; Plan and attend recruiting events
Create fun and exciting marketing materials selling our pipeline opportunities
Develop metrics around program statistics, campus ROI, diversity and post-program impact
Research pipeline programs at other companies to ensure we’re competitive and positioned as an employer of choice
Identify professional development experiences to meet business goals
Kick off and coordinate learning events; Manage vendors and contracts
Corporate Social Responsibility
Support diversity efforts such as TECHWomen, participation in US FIRST, and STEM volunteering efforts for your cohorts
5+ years of either HR Business Partner, Talent Development, Program Management or Recruitment experience
Ability to travel as needed
Excellent communicator – You’re savvy at letting stakeholders know what they need to do and when they need to do it. You write clear, concise, easy-to-read communications and can comfortably present to leaders at all levels
Creatively curious – You like to seek out and try new approaches that keep us ahead of the curve
Organized & detail-oriented – You can manage competing deadlines and multiple rotation timelines with ease. You also double and triple check every nuance when it comes to event planning
Resourceful – If you don’t have the answer, you figure it out. You’re comfortable navigating a complex environment to obtain info and seek buy-in
A natural coach – You’re always ready to provide career guidance or solve employee relations issues when it comes to your cohorts
Finally, you’re team-oriented and want to understand + drive the larger Org Development talent strategy
