Job Overview:
Sanametrix, Inc. is a fast-growing small IT consulting firm headquartered in Arlington, VA. We are hiring a self-starting IT Specialist to support internal corporate office functions as well as project support tasks. Candidates should be polished professionals with excellent communication and analytical skills.
The IT Specialist will support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modifications, security, and upgrading of corporate office IT systems. They will also install LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments. Project support tasks will include project coordination, requirement gathering, and quality control activities. The ideal candidate produces results, takes initiative, has strong problem-solving skills, and can work effectively as a team member and leader. The candidate must be comfortable interfacing with clients and have the ability to convey technical terminology to non-technical audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Setup and administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches
· Create and apply laptop images on corporate laptop assets
· Provide technical support on projects (i.e., MS Exchange 365 migration)
· Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
· Maintain system efficiency and maintenance (including Adobe Suite, Trend Micro)
· Troubleshoot to resolution wireless network, server, laptop, and printer issues reported by users
· Make recommendations for future upgrades
· Evaluate and modify system's performance
· Manage and execute monthly laptop and server patches
· Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
· Provide network hardware troubleshooting
· Support network deployments
· Provide support to engineers on network troubleshooting
· Manage Active Directory environment to include account creation, maintenance, and deletion
· Manage SharePoint site administration
· Manage corporate IT assets and licenses
· Maintain network servers such as domain controller, printer server, file servers, VPN, gateways, wireless controller, NAS, intrusion detection systems
· Manage AWS infrastructure via the management console and/or AWS SDK including but not limited to IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, Security Groups, Subnetting.
· Provide general multimedia support to include video conferences and teleconferences.
· Manage and update IT procedures and operation handbook (based on ISO best practices)
· Analyze business requirements; generate requirements and specifications to design or redesign functional and
· technical solutions.
· Leverage industry best practices to support the design, test, and implementation of a solution.
· Assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
· Analyze, research, collect, and store data.
· Guide client communications including the development of presentations and client meetings.
· Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
· Develop test scripts and reports; analyze the results when indicated.
· Perform documentation and risk management tasks.
· Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing memos, meeting minutes, and emails.
Required Skills, Qualifications, Certifications:
· 2-4 years’ experience performing standard desktop support responsibilities.
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills
· Proficiency with troubleshooting network, laptop hardware and MS Office (365) suite issues.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Ability to review hardware and software specification requirements and make procurement recommendations.
· Ability to work in a team environment while solving complex problems.
· Experience setting up and configuring AWS EC2 instances.
· Participate in project design meetings; propose improvements.
· Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions.
· Plan and manage team goals and project schedules; adjust goals and schedules in response to shifting priorities.
· Manage project-related paperwork ensuring all necessary materials are current and properly filed.
· Experienced in conducting quality control and testing activities.
· Able to work with minimal supervision; be accountable for tasks.

· Bachelor’s degree
· A+ certification
· MCSE certification
· Experience with SharePoint

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
