What you will do:
The Media Lead will be our media expert, our data guru, and our strategic field guide to our consumers. Our Media Lead blends art and science, helping the Tillamook marketing team envision highly orchestrated, meaningful consumer journeys and experiences – from that first interaction with our dairy products to cultivating ongoing love and loyalty with our brand. This is a new role that requires the strategic expertise to bring our consumer-centric approach to life, as well as the entrepreneurial roll-up-your-sleeves tenacity to execute. The ideal candidate will be able to decipher and analyze complex data, work closely with our internal Consumer Insights team to immerse themselves in our consumer world, and then translate findings into our future marketing strategies and reporting. They will be able to identify new opportunities to learn about our consumers through various digital and traditional marketing channels. They will champion the consumer internally ensure decisions are based on consumer behavior data and insights. And partnering with our media agency, they will be able to present strategic media recommendations that serve across all marketing channels to create a 360° omni-channel experience for our consumers, with the ultimate goal of building long-term, meaningful relationships.

Here's a day in the life:
Develop deep understanding of paid media platforms and advertising opportunities

Oversee and manage all paid advertising & media activities for the Tillamook Marketing Team

For all media planning and trafficking, lead cross-agency collaboration and cross-functional communication

Manage media agency relationship and overall media, creative and research budgets, including creative costs, services fees, publication costs, and trafficking fees

Manage cross-channel integration of data into campaign, quarterly, and annual reporting, determining overall marketing successes, and identifying areas for improvement

Act as liaison between media agency and internal consumer insights team to gather, analyze, and synthesize data in an impactful, engaging way

Project manage reporting schedules and deliverables

Present reporting metrics to internal and agency stakeholders

Work with teams to advise on testing protocols and plans, A/B and multivariate testing approaches, as well as following up with planning, implementation, and success metrics management

Work with key stakeholders to help define an integrated digital marketing analytics and attribution approach for the Tillamook brand

Develop comms strategy for all campaign work to understand and identify the full consumer experience of the brand and maximize the consumer journey; develop media briefs that identify optimal moments to connect with consumers (dayparts, channels, geos, venues, etc.) that will deliver the most value in the lives of Tillamook fans

Develop efficient and innovative processes that will help translate data internally into actions on an ongoing basis

Gathering information from the rest of the company, provide market, consumer, product, and channel insights to drive analytically-based marketing decision making

Gathering consumer data from all marketing channels, supply marketing data and insights back out to the rest of the company to inform and improve the overall business

Based on data insights, represent the consumer at internal meetings and when the business is making strategic decisions

Help define the overall marketing ecosystem and deliver a marketing mix that is scalable, extendable, and uses consumer data to enhance the consumer journey to drive brand and business growth

Additional responsibilities may include: researching new media outlets/initiatives, competitor research, presenting expert advice and reports to management, in addition to other marketing related tasks.

Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills.

Demonstrate thorough attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.

Demonstrate knowledge of conflict resolution best practices and keen ability to creatively problem-solve.

Demonstrate excellent time-management skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public; act as a team player while collaborating with diverse skillsets across multiple departments.

Demonstrate interest in marketing communications, strategic planning, building processes, team building, and evolving your skillset.

Overall comfort with computer systems is a must, specifically advanced skills in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Project Management tools experience is a plus

Skills you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field.

4+ years of experience

Occasional work at night and on weekends. Occasional travel.
