WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are seeking a strong candidate to fill a Knowledge Analyst role within the Social Impact (SI) Practice supporting BCG’s SI work around the globe focusing on development including but not limited to topics such as global health, health systems, nutrition and food safety, water and sanitation, poverty and economic development, education, etc.

As a Knowledge Analyst, you will support our consulting teams, using an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package and deliver insights and so-what. You will also contribute to BCG's IP development, partner with case teams to identify and address critical knowledge and expertise needs, support proposal writing and business development efforts, and support practice leadership on other efforts designed to grow the practice both internally and externally (e.g., marketing and communications, cadre/people side). You will work closely with local and international case and proposal teams by providing customized knowledge for client work and potentially providing expertise in client facing settings. You will also help develop, support and maintain a variety of BCG proprietary offerings and publications.

You have the interest and ability to build and maintain a strong global & virtual network

Work with multiple topic teams in a supporting and team member role
Collaborates and maintains the development of new content through participation in IP development efforts and knowledge infrastructure projects, database, surveys, etc.
Contributes to building the Global Health, Global Development, and Education topics and collaborates on intellectual capital development such as Tier 1s (Clients include: International Development Organizations, Multilaterals, INGOs, etc)
Helps to update and maintain the existing topic knowledge base
Promotes innovation at BCG by identifying knowledge capture opportunities
Manages external databases and develops internal procedures, formats and frameworks to customize output for clients
Supports the teams in day-to-day operational and administrative tasks, e.g., newsletters

Work with case (and proposal) teams in an expert role
Delivers analysis and insights to case teams, providing thought partnership
Provides customized knowledge for client work, prepares accurate, well developed documents and charts
Advises case teams on appropriate sources and tools to utilize; conducts assessments and provides expert recommendations based on best practices
Liaises with DRS and other support teams as necessary to ensure that requests for expertise are addressed appropriately
With consultants, collects, synthesizes, analyzes case team learning & inputs into new knowledge products (vignettes, experience)

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Bachelor’s degree with 1-2+ years with specific industry knowledge, Master Degree in the field of Global Development/Global Health or the general non-profit space with demonstrated high achievement preferred

Knowledge and familiarity with broader development landscape and common themes (e.g., fundraising, refugee crisis, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), etc.)

Knowledge and familiarity with broader Sustainability domain (e.g., Circular Economy/waste management, CSR/citizenship, ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) analysis, stakeholder engagement etc.)

Effective written & verbal communication (English at proficiency level)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, often remote environment, managing multiple parallel tasks, multi-tasking & operating effectively in a matrix organization

Strong interpersonal, credibility, collaborative, team player

Ability to maintain discretion when needed: strong work ethic & service-mentality required

Knowledge of external development sources, frameworks and databases will be a plus (i.e. OECD Statistic, Foundation Center, SDG Index etc.)

We are a highly motivated and entrepreneurial team of global and regional topic leaders, Expert Career Track (ECT), and Knowledge Team based in Europe & US supporting Social Impact projects worldwide and across sectors.
