Job Description

Title: FPC Steward

Status: Non-Exempt

Supervisor: Chief Executive Officer

Function:
FPC Stewardship Coordinator will work to foster collaborations among tenants, and seek to build relationships among the FPC tenants and appropriate partner organizations outside the Family Partnership Center, and recruit partner tenants. Recruitment efforts will aim to ensure the right mix of tenants to deliver complementary and coordinated services to the Poughkeepsie community. The steward reports to the CEO.

Requirements:
2-3 years experience in community organizing preferred
High school diploma required/associates degree preferred in related field
2-3 years of progressive experience in real estate, building management preferred
Experience working with disadvantaged populations helpful.
Excellent oral and written communication skills needed, strong organizational ability required.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred (ability to read/write/translate English to Spanish and Spanish to English)

Job Responsibilities:
Foster the creation of a collaborative environment within the FPC by building good relationships with partners and clients, including encouraging their involvement in the FPC activities and adherence to the FPC Community Charter.
Maintain a constant knowledge and awareness of current FPC activities and procedures, including all areas of program work within the FPC and in the wider community.
Actively work to recruit tenants, foster collaborations among tenants and seek to build relationships among the FPC tenants and appropriate partner organizations outside the Family Partnership Center.
Maintains up to date and in depth knowledge of FPC partners and their activities.
Establish a community advisory committee that meets regularly to help identify priorities to be addressed by FPC partners, pursue creation of a comprehensive database for clients to simplify cross-agency referrals, and provide regular training and orientation of all partners to improve and expand inter-agency connections.
Work with local real estate professionals, community organizers, government and non-profit entities to share leasing opportunities at the FPC.
Provide prospective tenants with building tours.
Support the Finance Department in the development of leases for new tenants.
Work with marketing committee to develop marketing plan for FPC.
Year One Goals
