We are currently seeking an experienced Avionics Repair Technician with experience in testing, troubleshooting, repair and modify developmental and production mechanical and electronic components, parts, equipment and systems to build Military RF Antennas.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Test final and in-process production and assist Engineering Department with new product development and perform product final acceptance testing Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans Design basic circuitry and draft sketches for clarification of details and design documentation under engineers' direction, using drafting instruments or computer-aided design (CAD) equipment Develop or upgrade preventative maintenance procedures for components, equipment, parts, or systems Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use Write reports or record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, or specifications to assist engineers and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections Estimate cost factors including labor and material for purchased and fabricated parts and costs for assembly, testing, or installing Evaluate tool drawing designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original specifications for form and function using engineering skills Inspect lines and figures for clarity and return erroneous drawings to designer for correction. Set up prototype and test apparatus and operate test controlling equipment to observe and record prototype test results Construct and maintain test facilities for Military Antennas, according to specifications. Install parts and systems to be tested in test equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments Identify required data, data acquisition plans and test parameters, setting up equipment to conform to these specifications Testing/troubleshooting RF components. (Down/UP Converters, Power Amplifiers, Modems, etc.) Develop Manufacturing Test Procedure and test setups (Standard Test Equipment). Perform Acceptance Tests witnessed by the customer Operate Standard Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Multi-meter, Vector Network Analyzer, Counters, Network Analyzer, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.) Operate Environmental Stress Testing Equipment, which includes Vibration Table and Temperature chamber
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Minimum of 5 year’s work experience in a similar technical field RF specific preferred and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. RF and Electronics Knowledge in Antenna manufacturing strongly desired. Lean Manufacturing Experience; Knowledgeable with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Access, etc.); Familiar with Servo Controls, RF and/or Digital theory principles and application. Experience in EMI testing is a plus Lab View Experience is a plus Excellent Communication skills; verbal and written. Possess or have the ability to secure a passport within 30 days from hire date is a must for Domestic and International travel Federal law requires CPI Malibu Division to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States. CPI Malibu Division uses eVerify and does provides Social Security Administration and/or Department of Homeland Security employee’s I-9 Form to confirm work authorization.
