Analysis of client level freight profitability
Analysis of overall SPP freight profitability by line of business (program catalog, special order, Book and Go, Incentives and Recognition)
Adjustment of SPP system ship codes, ship charts and delivered freight pricing at the SKU product level.
Analysis of freight records and making a percentage recommendation for clients interested in landed “delivered SKU freight pricing” while meeting SPP freight margin goals
Awareness of accessorial fees (home delivery, inside delivery, fuel, etc) and monitoring rates in place to pass along charges while maintaining SPP’s freight margin
Keep current with carrier contracts language and implements pricing accordingly
Responsible for LTL (less than trailer) and FTL (full trailer load) carrier rates, adding the target SPP margin and accuracy in billing.
Designate the appropriate LTL and FTL truckers by geographical region – prepare supplier trucking shipping matrix for 2,000+ North American suppliers
Responsible for analysis of logistics profitability reporting in both the SPP US & Canada.
Webfocus reporting ability and access opportunities with shipping
Draw correlations between operational processes and systems functionality to generate improvement ideas. Lead the execution of assigned plans, including configuration changes and upgrades to available functionality. Provide additional in-depth analysis as required to justify recommendations.
Partner cross functionally to drive new carrier rollout to various departments: Procurement, Account Services, Customer Service, Merchandising, Inventory, Distribution.

Analyze all aspects for logistics activity to find opportunities to stream line supply chain procedures
Advise SPP leadership team regularly as to logistics team performance and make recommendations regarding staffing and ways of increasing efficiency
Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties
Provide internal & external stakeholders with logistics solutions
Serve as primary liaison with Account Management, Orange City Shipping, and vendor teams to coordinate customer requirements for logistics projects
Maintain vendor accountability through tracking non-compliance with SPP carrier procedures and issuance of vendor penalty charges
Maintain external relationships with parcel carriers and trucking carriers. Schedule regular carrier touch base calls to discuss what’s going well and opportunities for improvement.

Serve as internal expert on logistics routing matters

Education/Experience Equivalent (minimum requirements)
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

5 – 7 years relevant experience in a logistics supply chain environment of high-volume & fast pace activity
Highly analytical and great attention to detail required
Possess the ability to quickly pinpoint where there may be system errors and make recommendations to change course for profitability
ASI 400 experience
Working knowledge of various transportation methods and C-TPAT compliance
Strong knowledge of U.S. import laws, C-TPAT and regulations as well as domestic transportation methods.
A proven ability to process large volumes of orders having a variety of logistics requirements.
Strong knowledge of LTL, LCL, FCL and air freight.
Ability to exercise a high degree of sound judgment and the ability to effectively handle growing volumes of logistics transactions as well as ambiguous demands from a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to make quick and clear decisions while adapting to changing circumstances
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met.
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one or in small group situations
Basic math skills with the ability to analyse numerical data.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the carrier selection process
