Marcus & Millichap, the nation's leading commercial real estate investment sales company, is seeking a talented Junior Research Analyst for a top producing agent team in Phoenix.

The Junior Research Analyst position will contribute to best in class research, while building and maintaining a competitive advantage in the marketplace through market expertise, analysis, and insight. The analyst will have primary responsibility for tracking and analyzing all aspects of the local commercial real estate market and leveraging that knowledge proactively for research products, client projects, and business development efforts. This position will have geographic responsibility for the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Key Functions:
Create, write, analyze and edit content for Phoenix commercial multifamily real estate market.
Data acquisition and extraction, data analysis (quantitative and qualitative), data presentation
Provision of advice to colleagues on appropriate use of data and data methodology
Proactively developing analytical processes and expanding the range of data available to apply to projects (both internal projects and projects for clients)
Delivering and executing projects. Understanding and appropriate application of quantitative research methodology, strong analytical ability, a keen interest in assessing and understanding different data sources, excellent analytical skills and high level information presentation skills.
Intellectual capital and capacity. Analytical/Statistical output creation, critical thinking and analysis, creative thinking, problem solving and decision making.

Prerequisites:
Excellent oral and written English and grammar skills.
Strong computer skills, including: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Google (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Adobe Creative Cloud (not required, but a plus)
At least 1-3 year of relevant professional experience
Strong critical thinking skills and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, across the organization, as well as work independently.
Proven ability to meet goals in dynamic, fast changing environment.
Flexible and able to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements.
