Role / Responsibilities
The Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering group at Jounce Therapeutics is looking for an individual experienced in antibody and protein characterization. The successful candidate will play an important role in the discovery and development of novel biotherapeutics for immuno-oncology. S/he will be responsible for screening and characterizing therapeutic antibodies and proteins using biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology techniques. S/he will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally as part of internal multi-disciplinary program teams and will take a lead role in experimental design and planning, conducting experiments, and communicating results.

Performing screening assays for therapeutic lead selection
Characterization of target proteins and interactions
Developing and implementing new immunoassays in various formats
Working cross-functionally as part of internal multi-disciplinary project teams
Recording and communicating findings in a timely manner
S/M.S. in Biochemistry or a related discipline with 5+ years of industry research experience
Experience with protein binding assays (ForteBio Octet, ELISA, Biacore)
Experience with flow cytometry
Experience with automation and liquid handling (Tecan, Hamilton), a plus
Experience with antibody discovery technologies (in vitro display, rodent immunizations), a plus
Experience with vector design, protein expression and purification, and protein analytics, a plus
Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), required
