Temporary part-time Web Content Migration Assistant to work 30hrs a week onsite for two months (May through June). The Web Content Migration Assistant will assist the University Relations and Marketing team as we prepare to migrate our website from the BigTree CMS to the OUCampus platform.

The Web Content Migration Assistant’s primary responsibility will be to assist the web team in repurposing existing content into web template mockups using Adobe XD or Sketch.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the University Relations and Marketing in their content inventory and migration efforts
  • Using content from existing crucial landing pages to craft mock-ups of how they will translate to the new platform
  • Render mockups in Adobe XD or Sketch for client approval
  • Ensuring essential content edits are tracked and migrated across to the new CMS in the build-up to launch
  • Assist in setting up and populating new site structure
  • Selecting, sizing, and editing photographs for the new CMS
  • Use established web accessibility guidelines to ensure content meets WCAG 2.0 compliance
  • Update the sitemap using MindMeister
  • Work in the web content inventory spreadsheet, adding new destination urls for the new CMS for pages on the current website
  • Assisting with CMS training for new and existing editors


  • Degree in design, visual communication, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent practical experience


  • 2+ years experience with UX/UI
  • Experience with prototyping tools such as Adobe XD or Sketch
  • Minimum of 1-2 years demonstrated experience working with content management systems

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Solid understanding of best practices in Web design, front-end development and user experience
  • Ability to be creative, resourceful, flexible, and a team player
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards for the web
  • Strong, accurate editorial skills
  • Excellent written, communication, & documentation skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Experience with web content migration and/or replatforming (preferred)
  • Basic HTML skills
