Overview
The Core is seeking an energetic and personable Membership Counselor to be the first point of contact for our members and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness and a genuine interest in helping others achieve their health goals. This role is vital to creating a welcoming environment and providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels valued and informed.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and Greet Members and Guests: Serve as the first point of contact by warmly greeting all members and visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Provide Facility Tours: Lead engaging and informative tours of the facility, showcasing amenities, explaining membership benefits, and answering any questions prospective members may have.
- Answer Inquiries: Respond to questions about the facility, membership options, class schedules, and other services offered. Direct members and guests to the appropriate resources or personnel when needed.
- Assist with Check-Ins: Efficiently manage the member check-in process, ensuring that all visitors have the necessary access and information.
- Promote Memberships: Engage with prospective members to discuss their fitness goals and suggest membership options that best suit their needs. Support the sales team by encouraging new sign-ups.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Front Desk Area: Keep the reception area tidy and organized, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with trainers, sales staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
- Handle Member Issues and Complaints: Address member concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to management as necessary.
Qualifications
- Energetic and Personable: A friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for fitness and helping others.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with members, guests, and colleagues.
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using front desk management software, email, and other basic computer applications.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff members to provide the best possible experience for members and guests.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
