The Epic Systems Analyst II is responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying and maintaining software applications for Referrals. Works closely with end users to troubleshoot and correct problems related to applications, and assists with conversion to and implementations of software products. Works with other analysts to maintain continuity in process and in support of our integrated Epic electronic medical record that reinforces the vision of "One Patient. One Record."
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I&T support and ownership of 1 to 2 Epic modules
Daily operational support
Complete projects which includes supporting system enhancements/new features, upgrades/quarterly updates and optimization
Act as a liaison between I&T and the application user community to identify efficiency and functional issues
Investigate moderately complex system errors and/or failures, and coordinate the resolution of these issues
Understands workflows with the objective to meet business needs for Referrals
Participate in various IT projects as the data and subject matter expert
Utilize project management skills for planning, testing scripts updates, reviewing of release notes, testing workflow and build changes for quarterly updates and system upgrades.
Provides on-call support
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to support the end-user and technical operations staff as required by providing excellent customer service
Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data
Knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills for process development and problem resolution
Ability to process information logically
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Epic certification required.
Tapestry or Cadence certification preferred.
3-5 years of EMR Analyst experience required
Experience with process improvements
Healthcare experience required
