SCAD seeks an experienced systems coordinator/adviser for its international student services office (ISSO).
In this role, you will create and maintain an international channel or hub for all international students to have access to Terra Dotta software (TDS), departmental directories, and more from one central location. You will maintain TDS for Savannah and Atlanta; track issues and develop solutions with the TDS help desk; create queries, reports, and systems for students and staff to use; and develop a TDS student-facing portal. You will also train staff on the new TDS project and serve as a liaison with university information systems service partners for hosting and infrastructure solutions related to TDS, department directories, Blackboard, and other software.
As a systems coordinator, you will develop and maintain a ticketing and appointment system for student data tracking and be responsible for all aspects of SEVIS reporting requirements and audits, from quarterly TDS batch registrations and program extensions to deferrals and SEVIS record data fixes, among others. You will serve as a designated school official (DSO) and administer all aspects of SEVIS reporting requirements, file extensions of stay, change in non-immigrant status applications, travel abroad and re-entry compliance, and all other F-1 related applications, procedures, and regulations. In this role, you will also manage the ISSO inbox, Savannah and Atlanta phone lines, and support all ISSO’s social media platforms to promote the office’s initiatives.
The successful candidate is well-versed in F-1 regulations and demonstrates an enthusiasm and effectiveness when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is relevant experience in international student services. The candidate should be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, able to meet both internal and external deadlines with accuracy and precision.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (master’s degree preferred)
- Professional experience in international student services
- Strong knowledge of F-1 regulations
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency (as required by federal regulations for DSOs)
