The Department of Advancement cultivates organizational and donor relationships through grant writing, special events and other public relations and marketing strategies. Building connections with long-term donors, partners, and local and national businesses allows us to share and fulfill the mission of Tanager Place.

As the Marketing & Communication Specialist you will plan and prepare all organizational marketing and communications, assist in the planning and coordinating of special events and activities, and work with volunteer committees. Monitor and update corporate website. Enhance the image of the agency by making presentations and giving tours of the facility to groups and individuals in the community. Act as a positive emissary in all meetings with the public and other agency employees and promote a positive image of Tanager Place at all times.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor?s Degree in marketing, public relations or similar area is preferred.

Experience in:
Public Relations and Writing
Social Media Management
Graphic Design and Brand Management
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for the development of newsletters, brochures and advertisements
Web Content Management tools, i.e. WordPress
Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects
Ability to manage time and priorities is essential
Have an understanding and demonstrate consumer service concepts and initiatives

Schedule:
Schedule is general office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flexibility required for special events.
