Negotiate the purchase of services utilized by the IT organization. Evaluate current spend in this area to identify and capture savings and opportunities for diversity suppliers. Position will be responsible for an annual spend of approximately $150 million.
In coordination with the IT department, negotiate and contract the best overall value proposition (price and service) for IT services while following the Global Sourcing CSSS process.
Monitor trends in market conditions to maintain evolving business strategies.
Achieve cost reduction goals in the purchase of services by working with the IT staff organization and introducing best practices to the procurement process.
Identify opportunities for savings in the purchase of IT services by analyzing information available in SAP, BW and other databases.
Secure the cooperation of the IT groups in the purchasing process by working closely with them in cross-functional teams to ensure their requirements are met while achieving financial goals.
This position will work on multiple projects that will last from several weeks to over a year. This position also works with two IT Sourcing Leaders and one Junior Buyer. There will be exposure to various parts of the IP organization.
Bachelor's Degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing.
A minimum of 5 years work experience is needed which should include work on cross-functional teams and experience negotiating contracts.
Good PC skills are needed for accessing financial data, analyzing alternatives, and preparing presentations. Some background in IT would be desirable.
