General Job / Performance Information
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, or equivalent. A minimum of one year secretarial or clerical experience preferred. Typing 40-50 wpm required. Medical terminology and CRT knowledge desired.
Environmental / Working Conditions
The work is performed in is a high risk area for exposure to blood borne pathogens. Hours of duty may be irregular to accommodate office schedule. Works inside, in well lighted and ventilated area.
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
Communicates and interacts with all SWCC departments. Maintains close working relationships with providers and staff clinic in dealing with scheduling and other patient/family telephone requests.
Responsible for securing and communicating pertinent information for patient scheduling and documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
Work is of medium demand; basically sedentary. Near visual acuity, ability to hear and to speak is required.
